May 2026 at Holley Mountain Airpark was a reminder of why this place is such a treasure—even when the weather has other plans. Sure, the rain grounded our scheduled poker run, but it couldn’t dampen our spirits as we still gathered for the “after party” potluck at the community center. We also took to the skies for a fly‑out lunch at Gaston’s with five planes and twelve smiling faces. Additionally, we gathered together for a delightful “Archie Fest “ fireworks watch party, hosted by the Swifts at their KCCA hangar. And in true HMA fashion, our community shined bright when dozens and dozens of hours were volunteered to organize an estate sale to support Martin and Beth as they prepared for their move—proof that this airpark isn’t just a place to live, it’s a place to belong.
