EAA Chapter 1459 at Holley Mountain Airpark held an inaugural Fly-In Scavenger Hunt at the airport Sept 21st. Three teams competed to see who could amass the most points through collecting hidden objects around the airpark, answering “Brain Teaser” questions, and being creative with a few challenges we provided each team. All three teams did a great job locating most of our hidden treasures and completing the tasks we gave them, and all seemed to have a great time. The teams were awarded prize bags for their efforts!
After the Hunt, we held a cookout to break-in the new 6-burner grill and just relax. A passing rain shower didn’t seem to dampen the mood and we enjoyed meeting a few new people including those that flew-in and some new neighbors getting ready to build here. All in all a great day!
