SUMMARY:Solar Eclipse Camping & Viewing
DESCRIPTION:EAA Chapter 1459 will be hosting an eclipse viewing Fly-In we’re calling a Spring Wing Fling. \nThere are a limited number of available sites where pilots can camp under their wing the night before the Total Solar Eclipse\, so reserve your spot now!  beersrus64@gmail.com Arrive Sunday\, April 7th and enjoy the fellowship of other aviators.  We have few camping services\, but will have meals and a bathroom available for campers (no showers so plan accordingly).  We will also have a movie Sunday night at the adjacent Holley Mountain Airpark community room with snacks and beverages\, and a bonfire\, weather permitting.  Breakfast will also be available for campers and our volunteers the day of the eclipse.  Bring your own lawn chair and eclipse glasses\, but leave the pets at home\, please.  We are limiting camping aircraft to 4000lbs or less (parking on grass)\, with very few exceptions. \nCamping sites are $150 for the night\, and are non-refundable (we’ll be camping regardless of cloud cover\, unless weather is severe).  Reservations end April 1st. \nAll meals and beverages have a modest suggested donation\, and all proceeds will benefit EAA Chapter 1459.  Limited food and beverages will be available to pilots that fly into the airpark the day of the event.  There is VERY limited parking available the day of the eclipse\, so if we reach capacity we will be forced to turn aircraft away.  Parking reservations for Monday are available for a $40 donation. \nPilots!
